Disclosure of Payment of Special Party Fee of 50 Million Won
Appeal to Party Members to "Sign Up for Automatic Transfer Site"
Jo Guk, leader of the Jo Guk Innovation Party, introduced a photo of a 'piggy bank' sent by a supporter and disclosed the payment of a special party fee.
On the morning of the 21st, Jo posted on his Facebook page a photo of a red piggy bank along with a site for paying party fees. Jo said, "This piggy bank was sent to the party headquarters by a citizen of Yeoju," adding, "It moved me. I will not use it carelessly." The piggy bank in the attached photo contains the message: "I hope these small coins become stones against the omnipotent prosecutorial dictatorship power. I also hope that even a few bills here will be used as kindling to revive the crumbling value of democracy."
Cho Kuk, leader of the Cho Kuk Innovation Party, introduced a photo of a "piggy bank" sent by a supporter and even revealed his special party membership fee payment. He also stated, "As the party leader, I paid 50 million won as a special party fee," and explained, "Comrades who are party members, please sign up as the CMS automatic transfer site has been newly opened." He continued, "The payment of party fees by comrades energizes party activities and broadens their scope. I am very grateful," and added, "Citizens who sent piggy banks, please contact the party. We need to process the donations."
Not only Jo but also Jeong Chun-saeng, the proportional representative-elect of the Jo Guk Innovation Party, introduced the CMS automatic transfer site on the same day and encouraged party members to pay their party fees. Jeong wrote on Facebook, "(The Jo Guk Innovation Party) is not a negotiating group, so the government subsidy is very small, and support from the National Assembly is also very limited," appealing, "To operate the central party office and for the city and provincial parties to function as genuine political parties, a budget is necessary." He added, "Please exercise your rights as party members who pay party fees," emphasizing, "The payment of party fees by comrades will complete prosecutorial reform and lay the foundation for the construction of the 7th Republic."
This is interpreted as an intention to encourage party members' participation by showing Jo’s exemplary act of paying 50 million won as the party fee, as the party fee payment system is being fully implemented.
