Statistics Korea Conducts Regional Employment Survey for the First Half of the Year

For 230,000 Households Nationwide

On the 23rd, Statistics Korea announced that it will conduct the '2024 First Half Regional Employment Survey' targeting 230,000 households nationwide until the 8th of next month.

The Regional Employment Survey, conducted twice a year in the first and second halves, produces various statistics that serve as the basis for establishing regional employment policies, such as employment rates and unemployment rates by city, county, and district.

Among the survey contents, key employment indicators by city, county, and district will be announced in August this year, characteristics of employed persons by industry and occupation in October, and employment status of married women in November.

Sample households can respond to the survey through interviewers visiting from Statistics Korea, and can also participate via the internet using the participation number provided in the internet participation guide sent by mail.

Lee Hyung-il, Commissioner of Statistics Korea, said, "All surveyed information will be used solely for statistical compilation purposes under the Statistics Act, and confidentiality will be strictly protected," adding, "We ask for the active participation and accurate responses of the households selected as samples."
