‘Mamasonggil Project Group’ Seoul Eunpyeong Regional Self-Sufficiency Center Operation
Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul (Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) operates the ‘Mama Son-gil Project Group,’ a household help service aimed at reducing domestic burdens and promoting work-life balance.
The ‘Mama Son-gil Project Group’ is a household help service where housekeepers visit homes at least once a week in Eunpyeong-gu and nearby areas to provide cleaning, dishwashing, laundry, and other household tasks for a fee covering actual expenses.
Operated by the Seoul Eunpyeong Regional Self-Sufficiency Center under commission from Eunpyeong-gu to support the independence and self-sufficiency of low-income residents, the project dispatches personnel to households in need of household help services, such as dual-income families and elderly households.
The service costs 55,000 KRW for 4 hours, and any local resident wishing to use the service can apply via the Seoul Eunpyeong Regional Self-Sufficiency Center’s website or by phone. Workers employed by the Mama Son-gil Project Group receive training in organizing and tidying up as well as certification courses for home management specialists to provide more professional services. According to the center, many long-term users rely on this service because they can receive professional help at a reasonable cost through a trusted institution.
Choi Min-jun, director of the Seoul Eunpyeong Regional Self-Sufficiency Center, stated, “We will continue to strive to provide high-quality services to local residents through ongoing project management and promotion, and to offer jobs that help participants in self-sufficiency work projects.”
The Seoul Eunpyeong Regional Self-Sufficiency Center operates 14 self-sufficiency work groups including cleaning, estate organization, delivery, and convenience stores, supports the operation of six self-sufficiency enterprises such as GS25 Eunpyeong Moa Branch, and provides systematic self-sufficiency services including employment support.
