Guro-gu (Mayor Moon Heon-il) will hold the opening ceremony of the ‘Youth Zone Gocheok Sinnan Guro’ on the 25th.
The district remodeled an existing community center in Gocheok-dong, where youth facilities are lacking, to create the youth-exclusive facility ‘Gocheok Sinnan Guro.’
Gocheok Sinnan Guro is located on the 2nd floor at 156 Gocheok-dong (25, Gocheok-ro 52na-gil), with a total floor area of 608㎡. The interior spaces include △rest area △self studio △e-sports room △karaoke △digital playground △open workshop (make space room).
Gocheok Sinnan Guro is freely available to all youth aged 9 to 24.
Except for the closed day (Monday), the operating hours are from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, and from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Moon Heon-il, Mayor of Guro-gu, said, “We have prepared a dedicated space for youth to cultivate creativity needed for the future society,” and added, “We hope that youth will nurture their dreams and have enjoyable times at Gocheok Sinnan Guro.”
Since announcing the ‘Empathetic and Communicative City’ pledge project in the 8th term of the local government in 2022, Guro-gu has established three youth facilities including ‘Gocheok Sinnan Guro’ and plans to expand by adding three more facilities in the future.
