On the 18th, a video titled "I'm not hurt... Police officer who recognized brain hemorrhage" was uploaded to the National Police Agency's YouTube channel. The video showed police responding to a collision between two vehicles on a road in Yeongam-gun, Jeollanam-do. The footage revealed that one of the vehicles had veered off the road and the rear of the vehicle was crushed, suggesting a severe impact.

The 119 emergency medical team that arrived at the scene examined the accident victims, but all of them said, "I'm fine," and "I'm not hurt," so the paramedics left the scene. However, one of the accident victims, Mr. A, began to show abnormal symptoms. When the police asked about the accident, Mr. A could not recall the details. He was unable to answer the officers' questions properly and kept staggering as he walked. Noticing these unusual symptoms, the police urged him to go to the hospital, but Mr. A refused, saying, "I'm fine."

Nevertheless, the police did not stop persuading him. After persistent efforts, Mr. A decided to go to the hospital. He was transported by police car and was diagnosed with symptoms of a brain hemorrhage. He was then transferred to a university hospital where he underwent emergency surgery. The police reported that Mr. A successfully completed the surgery and is recovering his health.

Netizens who heard this story responded with comments such as "A true police officer," "They saved a citizen's life," and "If they had just passed by, it could have led to brain damage, but they responded very well."

Since drivers involved in traffic accidents may have suffered head trauma, it is advisable to be cautious of brain hemorrhage even if symptoms are not immediately apparent after the accident. Especially if symptoms such as vomiting, headache, dizziness, or memory impairment occur, professional medical examination is necessary.
