On the 19th, marking the 64th anniversary of the April 19 Revolution, Park Wan-su, Governor of Gyeongnam Province, paid tribute at the National 3.15 Democracy Cemetery in Changwon, Gyeongnam.
Governor Park stated, "Today's Republic of Korea exists thanks to the sacrifice and dedication of the democratic spirits," and added, "Gyeongnam Province will continuously strive to remember and further inherit and develop this spirit."
In the tribute book, he wrote, "I will uphold the noble spirit of the April 19 Revolution and work hard for the development of Gyeongnam."
Joining the tribute were Superintendent of Education Park Jong-hoon, Vice Chairman of the Gyeongnam Provincial Council Kang Yong-beom, Director of the Eastern Veterans Affairs Office Jo Kyung-chul, and representatives and members of April 19 Revolution organizations.
