K-Content Industry Support System Learned by Lithuania

Training with Gasparavicius, Deputy Minister of Culture
"Systematic K-Content Promotion Model, Impressive"

The Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) announced on the 19th that government officials from Lithuania visited from the 16th to the 18th to examine the support system for the K-content industry.

The invited training included Vigintas Gasparavi?ius, Vice Minister of the Lithuanian Ministry of Culture, among others. They visited KOCCA's Naju headquarters, CKL Enterprise Support Center, Global Game Hub Center, and Content Talent Campus in sequence. They shared systematic content industry support systems and concrete practical experiences.


A KOCCA official explained, "They confirmed KOCCA's roles and functions, experienced new technology convergence content, and directly verified the excellence of K-content."


During the meeting held at the Naju headquarters, the Lithuanian Ministry of Culture expressed a desire to utilize Korea's content industry promotion model to foster the development of their own cultural and creative industry ecosystem. Vice Minister Gasparavi?ius said, "The systematic content promotion model is very impressive."


KOCCA President Cho Hyun-rae responded, "The content industry support model and best practices will help establish Lithuania's digital culture and creative industry ecosystem," adding, "Let us continue a sustainable mutual cooperation relationship."


This training was conducted as part of the 'Interim Report and Policy Practitioner Training,' one of the projects sharing economic development experiences under the Ministry of Economy and Finance. KOCCA, along with the Korea Development Institute's International Development Cooperation Center, the executing agency, has been participating in research to establish Lithuania's content industry ecosystem since last year and is exploring various cooperative relationships.
