At the time, Hargitay was filming season 25 of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" at Fort Tryon Park in New York. Meanwhile, the girl, who was looking for her mother, saw the police badge on Hargitay’s costume and mistook her for a real police officer, asking for help. It was reported that the girl was unaware that filming was taking place.

Hargitay paused filming for 20 minutes to help the girl find her mother. During this time, she knelt down to listen attentively to the girl’s story and carried her around the nearby area. Fortunately, the girl was reunited with her mother shortly afterward.

Born in 1964, Hargitay debuted in the 1985 film "Ghoulies." Since 1999, she has appeared in "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" and continues to be actively involved in her career.
