Lee Jun-seok "An Embarrassing Idea"
Jung Sung-ho "Yoon Is the Same, So What Does the Prime Minister Mean?"
The Presidential Office immediately denied the so-called 'Park Young-sun and Yang Jeong-cheol appointment rumors,' but the political sphere continues to experience aftershocks.
Lee Jun-seok, the elected representative of the Reform New Party from Hwaseong, Gyeonggi, raised his voice on the 18th during CBS Radio's 'Kim Hyun-jung's News Show' regarding the 'Park Young-sun and Yang Jeong-cheol appointment rumors,' saying, "First of all, within the ruling party, the president should embrace those he has hurt so far."

The day before, some media outlets reported that Park Young-sun, former Minister of SMEs and Startups, was being seriously considered as the successor to Prime Minister Han Duck-soo, and Yang Jeong-cheol, former director of the Democratic Research Institute, as the successor to Chief of Staff Lee Kwan-seop, causing a significant stir in the political world. In response, the Presidential Office immediately denied the reports, stating, "There has been no consideration," but voices of concern followed from both ruling and opposition parties.
The elected representative said, "I don't know whose idea this is, but it's embarrassing," and pointed out, "Right after the election, since this is a conservative regime, if there are people within who have been hurt, it would be better to visit them first and make various proposals."
He also said, "Former Minister Park Young-sun may be an excellent person individually, but she has played the role of a sniper against conservatives quite a lot," and added, "Also, is former Minister Park currently playing a mainstream role in the Democratic Party or similar factions, so that she could bring about the meaning of a grand coalition or integration? I don't think so."
Jeong Seong-ho, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, also expressed a negative stance regarding the 'Park Young-sun and Yang Jeong-cheol appointment rumors.' On the same day, on MBC Radio's 'Kim Jong-bae's Focus,' Jeong said, "It seems like an idea to appoint opposition figures based on the judgment that the people have judged the Yoon Seok-yeol administration this time and that there was a public mandate to communicate and cooperate with the opposition," but added, "Given President Yoon Seok-yeol's way of governing so far, I don't know what meaning it would have."
Jeong said, "It seems that former Minister Park Young-sun has expressed displeasure, and as far as I know, Chief of Staff Yang Jeong-cheol has said directly or indirectly that he will no longer run for public office," and added, "It is strange to even talk about such a person as Chief of Staff or Prime Minister." He further said, "He himself needs to properly understand the situation and change, but if he hasn't changed, what meaning would a Prime Minister or Chief of Staff have?"
