Korea Federation of SMEs Holds '2024 KBIZ New CEO Seminar'

The Korea Federation of SMEs announced that it held the '2024 KBIZ New CEO Seminar' on the 17th and 18th at the Sea Mark Hotel located in Gangneung, Gangwon Province.


Marking its 17th year, this seminar was attended by over 40 newly elected chairpersons of small and medium enterprise cooperatives since April 2023, as well as chairpersons of SME cooperatives and heads of small business organizations who are regular members of the Federation of SMEs.

This seminar was organized to enhance understanding of the economic contributions and social roles of cooperatives and to discuss response measures to the prolonged global economic downturn and domestic demand recession. Under the theme "The Effectiveness of Cooperatives in an Era of Complex Crises," there was a special lecture by Kim Hyung-mi, President of the Korean Cooperative Association, along with explanations on current issues and support systems for SMEs and cooperatives.


Kim Ki-moon, President of the Federation of SMEs, stated, “The functions of cooperatives are becoming increasingly important to overcome the crises faced by the SME sector and to strengthen competitiveness,” adding, “We expect the leadership of the new chairpersons to enable cooperatives to take the lead in resolving difficulties faced by SMEs and in fulfilling social responsibilities.”
