Musinsa Embracing Nike, Sneaker Transaction Volume Triples in Two Days

Sneakers Transaction Volume on 15-16th Up 235% Compared to Previous Week

The transaction volume of sneakers on the fashion platform Musinsa has surged more than threefold. This growth was driven by the global sports brand Nike launching popular sneakers simultaneously with its entry into the platform.


According to Musinsa on the 18th, sneaker transaction volume increased by 235% over two days from the 15th compared to the same days of the previous week (April 8-9). Compared to the same period last year, the volume has more than tripled.

Musinsa explained that this achievement is thanks to the popularity of Nike sneakers, which newly joined the platform on the 15th of this month. Nike, having officially launched its brand shop on Musinsa, introduced a variety of product lines including sneakers, apparel, and fashion accessories.


In particular, sneaker models with a strong fan base such as ▲Air Force 1 ▲Cortez ▲Zoom Vomero ranked high in Musinsa’s popular product rankings from the day of launch. Some products, including Dunk Low and Air Force 1, sold out quickly in all sizes.


A Musinsa representative said, "Through this achievement, we were able to confirm customers’ high expectations and overwhelming influence toward Nike," adding, "We will continue to strengthen brand partnerships to offer more diverse products to customers who love sneakers."


Meanwhile, to commemorate Nike’s new entry, Musinsa released a showcase photo shoot. The photo shoot is characterized by reinterpreting Nike through Musinsa’s signature 'Street Snap' content. Additionally, an event is being held until the 28th of this month where customers who 'like' the Musinsa Nike brand shop or write product reviews will receive reward points.
