On the 18th, the air quality is expected to be poor due to yellow dust.

Be Careful of Yellow Dust Tomorrow... Inland Areas to Exceed 25 Degrees On the 17th, yellow dust originating from China was carried by the northwest wind into South Korea, causing the Seoul city center to appear hazy as seen from a building in Jongno, Seoul. Photo by Jo Yongjun jun21@

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on the 17th, fine dust concentrations are high mainly in Gangwon Yeongdong and the southern regions. The National Institute of Environmental Research forecasts that fine dust levels will be 'very bad' in Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam; 'bad' in Gangwon, Daejeon, Sejong, Chungbuk, Gwangju, Jeonnam, Daegu, Gyeongbuk, and Jeju; and 'moderate' in other areas. However, the Seoul metropolitan area and Chungnam are expected to experience 'bad' levels temporarily in the morning.

The minimum temperature on the morning of the next day will range from 7 to 13 degrees Celsius, and the maximum daytime temperature will be between 18 and 27 degrees Celsius. The expected minimum and maximum temperatures in major cities are Seoul 11°C and 25°C, Incheon 10°C and 21°C, Daejeon 9°C and 25°C, Gwangju 11°C and 24°C, Daegu 11°C and 26°C, Ulsan 11°C and 22°C, and Busan 13°C and 22°C. Daytime temperatures are expected to remain above average until the 19th. Afterwards, the weekend will bring cloudy skies and rain nationwide, causing daytime temperatures to drop.

Dense sea fog is expected to persist over the West Sea until the 19th. As the sea fog moves toward the coast, visibility will be less than 200 meters from the night of the 18th to the morning of the 19th along the Incheon and Gyeonggi West Coast and the northern Chungnam West Coast. In the central inland, Honam, and western inland Gyeongnam regions, radiation cooling overnight will cause temperatures to drop, resulting in fog that will reduce visibility to less than 1 kilometer.
