Saewool Nuclear Power Plant Signs Agreement to Support Health Checkup Program for Local Residents

Comprehensive Health Checkup Expenses of 500 Million KRW Supported for Residents of Seosaeng-myeon

Saewool Nuclear Power Headquarters of Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power signed an agreement with the Seosaeng-myeon Residents' Council on the 17th to support residents' health checkup projects, providing a total of 500 million KRW for the health management and welfare improvement of residents in Seosaeng-myeon, Ulju-gun.

The health checkup targets are residents aged 20 to 60 who have lived in Seosaeng-myeon for more than 10 years. Residents wishing to undergo the checkup must apply in advance through the Seosaeng-myeon Residents' Council and then receive the examination at designated hospitals.


From 2017 to 2023, Saewool Nuclear Power has supported approximately 2.77 billion KRW, enabling 3,458 local residents of Seosaeng-myeon to receive health checkups.


Kim Yong-woo, Acting Chairman of the Seosaeng-myeon Residents' Council, said, "Since the health checkup support project is the most well-received by residents, I hope the project will continue steadily."


Soyuseop, Head of Saewool Nuclear Power Headquarters, stated, "I hope the health checkup support project will greatly help the health management of local residents," adding, "We will continue to strive to contribute to the welfare improvement of local residents through win-win cooperation with the community."
