Gurye-gun Holds Kick-off Meeting for 'Carbon Neutral Soil Revitalization Expo'

Plans Presentation and Q&A on Expo Operations

On the 16th, Gurye-gun, Jeollanam-do, announced that it held a kickoff meeting for the "2024 Carbon Neutral Soil Revitalization Expo Operation Agency Service" at the county office situation room.

The kickoff meeting was attended by about 30 people, including County Governor Kim Soon-ho, Deputy Governor Lee Gil-yong, heads of departments, and the expo promotion committee chairman. The meeting proceeded with a presentation of the overall expo operation plan by I Can Company Co., Ltd., the agency selected to operate the expo, followed by a Q&A session and exchange of opinions.

Gurye-gun plans to supplement the detailed implementation plan by reflecting the opinions gathered from this meeting and create a high-quality expo through consultations with experts on carbon neutrality and soil.

Governor Kim Soon-ho of Gurye-gun said, "The Soil Revitalization Expo, held for the first time nationwide, will be a meaningful first step in responding to the climate crisis and securing healthy food." He added, "We will prepare active promotions and high-quality programs to create a place where many residents and visitors can share the value of healthy soil."

The 2024 Carbon Neutral Soil Revitalization Expo is scheduled to be held in September at the Gurye-gun Public Stadium area, featuring theme halls, corporate pavilions, experience zones, and sales markets.
