On the 16th, a post titled "A new employee spoke to me like this" was uploaded to an online community. As of the 17th, the post had garnered 15,400 views and 1,200 comments, becoming a major topic of discussion. The author, Mr. A, who identified himself as an ordinary office worker, shared the email he received, saying, "I pointed out something to a new employee, and then I got this message."
In the photo Mr. A shared, after he requested, "Please reply by email instead of sending notes," the new employee Mr. B replied, "ㅎㅎ You’re really picky. Got it^^." Mr. A explained, "I kept asking for replies by email because he kept sending 'ping' messages via messenger notes, but this was the reply I got," and added, "I’m very angry but don’t know what to do," seeking advice.
Netizens who read the story reacted with comments such as, "What kind of speech habit is that?", "This needs to be addressed in person," "My blood is boiling," and "I’m speechless because it’s so ridiculous." Netizen Mr. C said, "I’m curious how old the new employee is. I’ve been working for 10 years, and although I’ve seen many clueless new employees, most of that type are complete cases (meaning they have no sense)." Mr. A replied, "The new employee is 30 years old," to which Mr. C responded, "He’s the same age as me. Not young at all, but still clueless. You should be careful."
Meanwhile, the attitude problems of new employees continue to be a recurring issue. In October last year, someone shared, "A new employee who had been here less than a month would sit in the company cafe for 30 minutes without informing the team and then return," and added, "I thought things got better after the supervisor scolded him, but he started picking fights with employees who went to the cafe, asking, 'Is it okay to go to the cafe during work hours?' He also spoke rudely, so I’m considering whether to report this to HR."
