Governor's Agency Commendation and Financial Incentive Secured 155 Million KRW
Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam Province announced on the 17th that it achieved 3rd place in the quantitative evaluation and had one outstanding case selected in the citizen evaluation in the 2024 joint evaluation of major tasks of cities and counties (based on 2023 performance) conducted by Gyeongnam Province, securing an institutional commendation along with a financial incentive of 155 million KRW.
The joint evaluation of major tasks of cities and counties is an evaluation system in which Gyeongnam Province annually comprehensively assesses the performance of 18 cities and counties within the province regarding their interest and administrative capabilities in major national and provincial policies, selecting outstanding local governments.
Last year's joint evaluation consisted of a total of 117 indicators, including 93 quantitative indicators and 24 qualitative indicators. The quantitative evaluation assesses whether the targets assigned to each indicator were achieved, while the qualitative evaluation selects outstanding cases for each indicator. Additionally, the citizen evaluation selects cases that resonate with citizens through a citizen evaluation group.
To improve performance, the county held quarterly countermeasure reporting meetings centered on the vice county governor and conducted consulting to strengthen the capabilities of those responsible for the joint evaluation indicators, making continuous efforts to enhance results.
For next year's evaluation, the county plans to systematically respond by analyzing issues related to unmet indicators this year, establishing action plans, and conducting customized consulting to select outstanding cases. At the same time, it intends to actively provide incentives to boost the morale of employees with excellent performance.
