LS Eco Energy announced on the 17th that it will supply ultra-high voltage cables worth $30.51 million (approximately 42.6 billion KRW) over three years to Energinet, a Danish state-owned energy company.
Earlier this month, LS Eco Energy also supplied ultra-high voltage cables worth about $13 million to Denmark.
Denmark has a high demand for ultra-high voltage cables due to the construction of offshore wind farms and the underground installation of high-voltage transmission lines. Accordingly, LS Eco Energy has supplied over 1,000 km of cables to Denmark. Together with LS Cable & System, LS Eco Energy has secured the top supplier position in Denmark for cables under 170 kV (kilovolts) and above 220 kV through a long-term supply contract with Energinet over the past eight years.
Lee Sang-ho, CEO of LS Eco Energy, said, "We will actively expand the high value-added ultra-high voltage cable market in cooperation with LS Cable & System."
