Choi Ho-kwon, Yeongdeungpo District Mayor, Attends the '44th Disability Day Commemoration Event'

Choi Ho-gwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, attended the ‘44th Disabled Persons Day Commemoration Event’ held at Yeongdeungpo Art Hall on the afternoon of the 16th.

About 500 people attended the event, including Mayor Choi, disabled persons and their families, and organizations and groups related to disabled persons. Various programs were conducted, such as the reading of the Disabled Persons Human Rights Charter, and 20 individuals were selected for commendations, including those who contributed to disabled welfare and exemplary disabled persons, providing an opportunity for communication together.

In addition, to mark Disabled Persons Day, the district will cooperate with disabled persons’ organizations and groups from April 19 to hold various campaigns and events related to improving awareness of disabilities. In particular, a welfare policy booklet for disabled persons incorporating the ‘Voice Eye Code’ will be produced and distributed around May.
