Muan County Council Holds 'Legislative Exchange Meeting' with Gyeongbuk Yecheon County Council

The Muan County Council in Jeollanam-do (Chairman Kim Kyung-hyun) announced on the 16th that it held a 'Legislative Exchange Meeting' with the Yecheon County Council from Gyeongbuk, who visited Muan County.

The meeting was arranged to facilitate legislative exchange between the two councils as the Yecheon County Council conducted its domestic research for the first half of the year in the areas of Muan, Mokpo, and Sinan.

The meeting held in the chairman's office of the Muan County Council was attended by 8 members of the Yecheon County Council, 8 officials from the council secretariat, and about 30 members and officials from the Muan County Council. They shared information on current issues and council operations of both regions and took time to promote mutual development of the councils.

In particular, they discussed common challenges such as the 'creation of a new town following the relocation of the provincial government office' and the 'urban-rural complex city.'

Im Dong-hyun, Vice Chairman of the Muan County Council, said, "I believe this meeting has laid the foundation for exchange between the two councils, which is very meaningful," adding, "I hope that future-oriented exchange and cooperation will strengthen the competitiveness of local councils and lead to the mutual development of the two regions."
