On the 16th, the Foundation for Cooperation between Large, Small and Medium Enterprises and Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries and the Special Committee on Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries announced that they held the "8th Rural Coexistence Forum" at the Royal Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul, and signed a memorandum of understanding. This event was organized to discuss and debate strategies for win-win development between urban and rural areas in response to the disappearance of agricultural and fishing villages, as well as strategies to revitalize connections between fishing villages and coastal areas.

On that day, the Foundation and the Agriculture and Fisheries Committee signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a policy cooperation relationship for the revitalization of rural areas. They plan to activate funds for the sustainable development of agriculture, forestry, and fisheries and jointly carry out necessary activities.

The Foundation’s Rural Coexistence Fund Management Headquarters seeks ways to create value through win-win cooperation between companies and rural areas. By linking rural areas with environment, social, and governance (ESG) companies, it aims to respond to population decline, aging, climate change, and environmental issues, promoting the sustainable development of rural areas.

Kim Young-hwan, Secretary General of the Foundation for Cooperation between Large, Small and Medium Enterprises and Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, said, "We hope this memorandum of understanding will play a pivotal role in establishing cooperative relationships for the sustainable development of rural areas and in responding to internal and external changes."
