Self-Directed AI Platform 'Suhak Daewang' Surpasses 1 Million Cumulative Subscribers

Cumulative Downloads of 1.5 Million
Utilizing Proprietary AI Algorithm
Specialized in Customized Problem Solving

Turing, the operator of the self-directed AI (artificial intelligence) math learning platform 'Suhak Daewang,' has surpassed 1 million cumulative subscribers.

According to Turing on the 16th, Suhak Daewang, launched in March 2020, has exceeded 1.5 million cumulative downloads in just 3 years and 10 months. Suhak Daewang is an AI-based learning platform that helps students with self-directed learning.

Along with 1.5 million cumulative downloads, the only domestic math education apps to achieve 1 million subscribers are Suhak Daewang and Qanda. Suhak Daewang has about 80,000 problems it has produced and owns, establishing itself as the platform offering the largest amount of high-quality math problems.

Turing has continuously grown through 'Gamification,' which helps students with self-directed learning. Gamification is a motivational system that combines fun elements with learning to stimulate students' willingness to study.

Suhak Daewang encourages continuous learning through various features such as providing missions that award scholarship points to students and establishing a pacemaker system among students. The retention rate of service use by parents and students is understood to be as high as 98%.

The AI algorithm model developed in-house by Suhak Daewang is the core of the service. Students can assess their skills through solving five problems. Based on accumulated learning data, Suhak Daewang provides reports analyzing students' abilities and estimates the probability of acceptance to desired universities and departments.

Additionally, the AI provides the minimum necessary hints during the learning problem-solving process and helps students identify weak areas through wrong answer analysis, enabling efficient learning. In particular, Suhak Daewang specializes in customized problem-solving by automatically generating AI-created problems similar to incorrect types to increase the correct answer rate.

Founded in 2018, Turing has been refining its math learning specialized AI model based on the vast learning data accumulated through Suhak Daewang over the past four years. Recognized for its technological capabilities, it was included last month among the 10 domestic startups selected by OpenAI at the 'OpenAI Matching Day,' accelerating global collaboration.

Research is ongoing, including publishing papers at the world-renowned AI conference 'AAAI 2023.' In particular, Turing CEO Min-gyu Choi has been recognized in the Consumer Tech category among the '30 Under 30 Young Leaders' selected annually by the global economic magazine Forbes, solidifying Turing's position in the industry.

To date, Turing has raised a cumulative investment of 11 billion KRW from Mashup Angels, KT Investment, Shinhan Venture Investment, Kolon Investment, and others.

CEO Choi said, "We will do our best to help all students enjoy studying math and never give up," adding, "We will lead the edutech market as a self-directed learning platform that actively utilizes AI technology."
