Hoseo University Staff Scholarship Association Awards Scholarships to 5 Current Students

Hoseo University staff members pooled their resources to provide scholarships to enrolled students.

Hoseo University announced on the 16th that it awarded scholarships to five students during the 2024 first semester Staff Scholarship Association scholarship ceremony.

The Staff Scholarship Association was established in 1998 during the IMF crisis based on the proposal of then Honorary President Kang Seok-gyu, who suggested using funds collected by staff to ensure students would not have to stop their studies. To date, it has awarded scholarships totaling 120.5 million KRW to 146 students.

Yang Jin-wook, the Director of the Office of Administration, said, “As the university environment becomes more challenging and demands for change increase, the small efforts of faculty and staff are continuing through the Staff Scholarship Fund to build a sustainably developing university,” adding, “We hope this scholarship will help improve students’ academic abilities.”
