BMW Ladies Championship 'This Year Also at Paju Seowon Valley CC'

BMW Korea announced on the 16th, "Following last year, the tournament will be held again this year at the Seowon Hills Course of Seowon Valley CC." The tournament will take place over four days starting October 17. A total of 78 players will participate, including 68 LPGA Tour players, 8 invited players, and 2 amateur players recommended by the Korea Golf Association. The total prize money is $2.2 million (approximately 3.08 billion KRW), with the winner's prize being $330,000 (approximately 460 million KRW). Similar to the operation methods of the US Open and The Open, the tournament rotates among prestigious courses nationwide.

BMW Korea explained the reason for selecting the venue, stating, "Holding the tournament at the same course for two consecutive years is expected to contribute more actively to the local community and stimulate the economy. Also, maintaining a close cooperative relationship with the host golf course allows for smooth and seamless tournament operations." CEO Han Sang-yoon said, "Starting this year, we have decided to change the venue every two years. We will prepare perfectly from now on to provide fans visiting the tournament with abundant enjoyment and to hold an even more complete event."
