In an interview on SBS Radio's 'Kim Taehyun's Political Show' that day, when asked by the host what content would be included in the State Council meeting's opening remarks, Lawyer Shin replied, "Since the ruling party naturally focuses on people's livelihood, emphasizing it feels somewhat like scratching one's foot through a shoe (격화소양)," adding, "There must be cooperation, sincere apologies, and reflection."

He said, "How big a defeat was the general election loss? Has there ever been a case where the ruling party suffered such an early and severe defeat in an election?" and questioned, "Should the president pretend not to know the stern judgment of the people expressed in this way?"

He continued, "It is somewhat difficult to see the general election defeat as solely due to President Yoon's fault," but added, "Since the president is the overall person responsible for state affairs, if the people have judged the failure of state affairs, it is natural for the president to express an apology and reflection."

When asked whether it is necessary for Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, and Cho Guk, leader of the Cho Guk Innovation Party, to meet with President Yoon, he answered, "They definitely should meet," and said, "The era of extreme confrontation and conflict in politics must end now, and the power struggle is no longer what the people want."
