Diamond Falls Out of Ring While Making Cookies
"If You Return the Diamond, We'll Give You Free Cookies"
An American bakery owner urged customers to "be careful when eating cookies as there might be a diamond inside." It was reported that he realized a diamond had fallen out of his ring while making cookies.
On the 16th, foreign media including the New York Post reported that Don Mulro, who runs a small bakery called 'Sis Sweets Cookie and Cafe' in Kansas, recently lost a diamond and is asking customers for help.
Earlier this month, he noticed that the diamond had fallen out of the ring he had worn for over 35 years after making cookies. He and his staff thoroughly searched the kitchen but could not find the diamond. The ring was a wedding ring gifted to Mulro by her husband and was estimated to be worth over $4,000 (about 5.55 million KRW).
Mulro said, "(I was crying because I lost the diamond,) but my husband told me, 'You still have me,'" adding, "So I felt better." She speculated that the diamond must have fallen into the cookie dough she was making. She believes the diamond is likely in one of the chocolate chip cookies, sugar cookies, or peanut butter cookies.
Mulro also posted on social media urging people to "be careful when eating cookies." She said, "I don't want anyone to break their teeth."
Additionally, she offered free cookies to anyone who finds and returns the diamond. Mulro wrote on Facebook, "My diamond is gone," adding, "My heart hurts so much. It was in my hand for 36 years." She continued, "If you happen to find the diamond and return it to me, I will feel indebted to you for life."
