For 108 Outstanding Franchise Owners Nationwide
GS Retail's convenience store GS25 announced on the 16th that it will provide an overseas training program in Japan for 108 outstanding franchise owners nationwide.
The excellent franchise owners' overseas training program in Japan, which began on the 3rd, will be held three times until the 27th. The overseas training location is Tokyo, Japan, and the program will last for a total of 3 nights and 4 days. Since 2000, GS25 has been operating the 'Outstanding Franchise Store Reward System' to enhance the capabilities and motivation of franchise owners.

The franchise stores selected for this overseas training program were chosen based on sales indicators and activities to improve store competitiveness. In line with the purpose of providing equal opportunities to vulnerable groups, members of the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) convenience store 'GS25 Naeil Store,' which supports the self-sufficiency of socially marginalized groups, are participating in the overseas training for the first time this year.
GS25 plans to focus on providing franchise owners with opportunities to visit major convenience store brands operating in Japan to benchmark differentiated operational strategies such as specialized products compared to domestic convenience stores. Additionally, the program includes visits to major tourist attractions and popular restaurants in Japan, creating opportunities for free communication among franchise owners.
Encouraged by the high satisfaction of franchise owners with the overseas training program, GS25 plans to continuously expand and strengthen overseas training programs for outstanding franchise owners. Furthermore, starting with 'GS25 Naeil Store,' GS25 intends to actively promote providing overseas training opportunities to ESG convenience store members, including 'GS25 Senior Store' for creating jobs for the elderly and 'GS25 Neulbom Store' for employing people with disabilities.
Kim Byung-gil, manager of the GS25 Win-Win Cooperation Team, said, “We planned and provided the overseas training program to enhance the capabilities of franchise owners and offer new motivation for store operations,” adding, “We will continue to accelerate win-win support activities that can grow solidly alongside franchise owners, who are the foundation of the franchise business.”
