Gwangjin-gu, Junggok-dong Pediatric and Adolescent Clinic Site Parking Lot Development

Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) has created a temporary open parking lot on a leftover land of the former Pediatric and Adolescent Clinic site to alleviate parking difficulties in the Junggok-dong area.

The site (Junggok-dong 29-1) is currently planned for a multi-purpose complex development, and Gwangjin-gu decided to use it as a temporary parking lot for local residents until the full development plan is implemented.

After gathering residents' opinions last year, the operation started on April 15 of this year, and the temporary parking lot is planned to operate until December next year. However, the operation period may be extended until the start of the complex development construction.

The temporary parking lot was created with a total area of 4,875㎡ and a capacity of 120 spaces. The usage fee is 50,000 KRW per month for resident-priority parking (all day), and 200 KRW per 5 minutes for hourly parking. Allocation of users and fee collection are managed by the Gwangjin-gu Facilities Management Corporation.

Following last year's temporary parking lot at the Hwayang Substation site, utilizing the Pediatric and Adolescent Clinic site as a temporary parking lot is expected to greatly contribute to alleviating parking difficulties and preventing illegal parking in the Junggok-dong area.

Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, "Through the creation of the temporary parking lot, we have been able to provide better parking convenience to residents," and added, "We will continue to actively create public parking lots to solve parking difficulties in Gwangjin-gu."
