Park Yong-hyun, CEO of Nexon Games, will take the lead in developing new games at the parent company Nexon Korea.
On the 15th, Nexon Korea appointed Park Yong-hyun, CEO of Nexon Games, as Vice President of Development concurrently.
Born in 1970, Park graduated from Korea University with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He worked at NCSoft and Bluehole Studio (the predecessor of Krafton) before founding NetGames in 2013. After NetGames merged with Nexon subsidiary Nexon GT to launch Nexon Games in 2022, he has continuously served as CEO. At Nexon Games, he oversaw titles such as 'Blue Archive' and 'HIT2'.
As head of the newly reorganized 'Big Game Division', which evolved from the existing New Development Headquarters, he will oversee large-scale new game development projects within Nexon Korea. The sub-brand 'MintRocket' under the former New Development Headquarters has been spun off into an independent 'MintRocket Division'.
Director Hwang Jae-ho, a star developer who created Nexon's hit 'Dave the Diver', was appointed as head of the division. Accordingly, Director Hwang will manage not only the development and operation of 'Dave' but also several small to medium-sized new projects under MintRocket.
Additionally, Kim Yong-dae, who was in charge of Nexon's public relations and external policy, was promoted to Vice President of External Public Relations. Moon Sae-byeok, CEO of Nexon Networks, was appointed as Vice President of Operations overseeing Nexon Korea's business.
