Choi Sang-mok, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs and Minister of Economy and Finance, said on the 15th, "Tasks essential for enhancing the sustainability of our economy, such as corporate value-up, dynamic economy, population issues, and structural reforms, must be pursued consistently and unwaveringly."

On the same day, Deputy Prime Minister Choi held an expanded executive meeting of the Ministry of Economy and Finance at the Government Complex Sejong and stated, "Policies for stabilizing prices, revitalizing investment, stabilizing people's livelihoods, and recovering the real economy should be implemented with a sense of urgency."

Deputy Prime Minister Choi's remarks came amid concerns that policies announced by the Ministry of Economy and Finance could face setbacks in the post-general election scenario of a ruling minority and opposition majority. Since most core policies, including corporate tax support within the corporate value-up program, require legislative amendments, the government is in urgent need of cooperation from the opposition party.

Choi emphasized, "Major policy issues should be sequentially addressed through the Fiscal Strategy Meeting, Dynamic Economy Roadmap, tax reform plans, and budget proposals," adding, "We must communicate more with the public, explain well to the media, and approach the legislature with sincerity."

He also stressed, "With rising external uncertainties due to recent tensions in the Middle East, the government's role in stabilizing people's livelihoods and economic recovery has become even more important," and added, "At times like this, the Ministry of Economy and Finance must maintain its focus and diligently carry out key tasks to alleviate market concerns."
