The EIM-OC certification is a campaign called ‘Exercise is Medicine,’ a systematic exercise practice campaign started by the American College of Sports Medicine and the American Medical Association based on scientific evidence. It encourages the essential need for health management in preventing and treating many diseases by enabling students, faculty, and staff of universities to participate together in exercise programs and improve their health.

Since last year, Professor Kim Su-hyun (Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation) has led the EIM-OC program at National Pukyong University, operating the ‘Healthy Pukyong Project’ for campus members. The project was evaluated for its efforts in health promotion and exercise program development by running health consultations, basic physical fitness assessments, and the ‘Healthy Campus Supporters’ as an extracurricular curriculum.

Professor Kim Su-hyun stated, "With the selection as a Gold Campus, we will make exercise a part of everyday campus culture," adding, "We expect to successfully establish a ‘Healthy Campus’ by providing programs and events that help campus members develop physical activity habits."
