Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City announced that it successfully held the '1530 Healthy Walking Event' on the 13th at Neoritjae Premium Forest Trail, where the last crowds of cherry blossom viewers gathered.
The event was held with the participation of about 300 residents of various age groups, ranging from children who came with their parents to enjoy the end of spring in a healthy daily life, to families, friends, and acquaintances gathering in small groups.
The walking course was approximately 2.3 km from Seongyo to Neoritjae Sports Rest Area. Participants enjoyed a healing time while walking along the forest trail, accompanied by various side events such as acoustic guitar performances, nostalgic life photo shoots, and quiz games.
Dong-gu shared the vision of creating premium urban green spaces with residents, announcing that Neoritjae Park, one of the '9 Treasures of Dong-gu (9bo),' was recently included in the '2040 Gwangju Metropolitan City Park and Green Space Master Plan.'
Im Taek, Mayor of Dong-gu, said, "I hope this was a healing time that revitalized daily life while walking the beautiful Neoritjae Premium Forest Trail," adding, "We will continue to discover and promote various walking programs to spread the culture of healthy walking practice that provides not only physical health but also emotional stability."
