Due to the impact of rising construction costs, the average sale price of private apartments nationwide increased by about 5% in one month. The sale price per 3.3㎡ in Seoul exceeded 38 million KRW.
According to the private apartment sale price trend data announced by the Housing and Urban Guarantee Corporation (HUG) on the 15th, as of the end of March, the average sale price per square meter of apartments nationwide was 5,633,000 KRW, up 4.96% from the previous month. Compared to the same month last year, it rose by 17.24%. This marks a continuous increase for 13 months since February last year.
The average sale price per square meter in Seoul was 11,498,000 KRW, up 0.35% from the previous month. Converted to 3.3㎡, it was 38.01 million KRW, a sharp increase of 23.91% compared to one year ago (30.678 million KRW). It rose by more than 7.3 million KRW.
The average sale price per square meter of apartments in the Seoul metropolitan area, including Seoul, was 7,773,000 KRW, up 0.21% from the previous month. It increased by 18.00% compared to the same month last year.
The average sale price per square meter in the five major metropolitan cities and Sejong City was 6,311,000 KRW, up 13.23% from the previous month. Compared to one year ago, it showed a steep increase of 25.96%. Other provinces had an average sale price of 4,406,000 KRW per square meter, up 0.91% from the previous month. The year-on-year increase rate was 10.66%, lower than other regions.
The total number of newly supplied private apartments nationwide in March was 4,737 units, a decrease of 30.67% compared to the same month last year (6,833 units). By region, the Seoul metropolitan area had 543 units, and the five major metropolitan cities and Sejong City had 4,194 units. There were no private apartment supply units in other provinces.
