Kibo-Jungjingong, Establishment of Collaborative System for Technology Transfer Demand Discovery

Revitalization of Technology Transaction Market Centered on SMEs Through Technology Transaction Supporters

The Korea Technology Finance Corporation (Kibo) announced that on the 15th, it signed a "Technology Transaction Supporters Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for Expanding Technology Transfer Demand Discovery and Revitalizing the Technology Transaction Market" with the Small and Medium Business Corporation (SBC) at SBC's headquarters in Jinju, Gyeongnam.

Since March this year, Kibo has been operating technology transaction supporters by registering personnel from private, public, and related organizations that have business contact points with small and medium enterprises (SMEs) as supporters to discover and recommend technology demand.

This MOU is the fifth supporters agreement following MOUs with the Korea Business Incubation Association and Korea Evaluation Data in February, and NICE Information Service and the Korea Technology Innovation Association for SMEs in March. Both institutions, as policy support agencies for small and medium ventures, agreed to expand the discovery of technology transfer demand from SMEs and revitalize the technology transaction market through the supporters system.

Specifically, through this agreement, both institutions will mutually cooperate on ▲ strengthening the discovery of technology transfer demand from SMEs ▲ promoting the supporters system and encouraging participation ▲ establishing a cooperative system for technology transactions and sharing information on technology transactions and commercialization. SBC will actively utilize its SME network and technology exchange know-how to discover technology transfer demand, and Kibo plans to provide rewards to supporters who contribute to technology transfer.

Lee Jae-pil, Director of Kibo, stated, “Kibo is activating technology transactions for SMEs and supporting preferential guarantees through continuous collaboration with related organizations,” adding, “We will continue to take the lead in actively discovering and supporting small and medium ventures pursuing open innovation through external technology introduction.”
