Helping Hands for Farming Work Together in Guso Village, Yongdeok-myeon, Uiryeong
Gyeongnam Nonghyup held a farming support launch ceremony on the 15th at Guso Village, Yongdeok-myeon, Uiryeong-gun, Gyeongnam.
The farming support launch ceremony was organized to inform the public about the need for helping hands in rural farming during the peak farming season and to support farmers facing difficulties in securing labor.

In addition to helping hands in rural farming, the event included a social contribution fund donation ceremony, a dedication ceremony for rural social contribution projects, a business agreement between Korea Rural Community Corporation Uiryeong Branch and Uiryeong Nonghyup for urban-rural cooperation, replacement of village insect screens, and flower path creation. These projects aim to revitalize rural areas facing extinction by making them attractive to visitors, abundant in work, and desirable places to live.
Gyeongnam Nonghyup plans to support 270,000 people in rural farming sites during the farming season in 2024 through the operation of the ‘Gyeongnam Province University Student Rural Workforce Support Group,’ ‘Rural Farming Workforce Social Service Order Project,’ and ‘Rural Employment Workforce Brokerage Center’ to resolve the shortage of rural labor.
Head Jo Geunsu said, “I am honored to hold the farming support launch ceremony to mark the beginning of the farming year and pray for a bountiful harvest,” and added, “We ask for the interest and participation of urban residents, including local companies, organizations, and the general public, to help address the shortage of rural labor.”
