On the 15th, Woowa Brothers announced that they received the Chairman's Commendation at the '4th Distribution Win-Win Conference' held at the Korea Federation of SMEs in Yeouido, Seoul, for their activities such as supporting entry into traditional markets and expanding sales channels.
Last year, Woowa Brothers established a win-win financial program for small business owners and traditional market merchants in need of operational funds. They also created a 100 billion KRW-scale guaranteed loan program through agreements to support self-employed food service operators who have difficulty securing funds through loans.
In addition, they have been helping small business owners operating offline businesses transition to digital. They supported traditional market merchants to enter Baemin Store and helped develop and sell the market's representative products as meal kits. They also collaborated with nine local governments and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups to assist sellers of agricultural, livestock, and fishery products nationwide and local specialty restaurants in entering the platform.
Furthermore, they operate the platform 'Baemin Food Service Plaza' for food service operators and the free business education institution 'Baemin Academy.'
Kim Jung-hyun, Head of Value Management at Woowa Brothers, said, "Baedal Minjok aims to be a company that grows together with various stakeholders such as small food service business owners, riders, and socially vulnerable groups. We understand this commendation as a request from our society to actively pursue co-prosperity in the future, and we will strive harder."
