In the men's golf weekly world rankings announced on the 14th (local time), he received 2.3896 points, jumping six places from 44th last week. He accumulated points by finishing tied for 16th at the 88th Masters, the first major tournament of the 2024 season, which concluded at Augusta National Golf Club (par 72, 7,555 yards) in Augusta, Georgia, USA. This is his best personal performance in the history of the Masters.


Masters champion Scottie Scheffler (13.99 points, USA) firmly held onto the No. 1 spot. He extended his lead over Rory McIlroy (7.65 points, Northern Ireland) to 6.34 points. Xander Schauffele (USA) pushed Jon Rahm (Spain) down to 4th place and claimed 3rd place. For Korea, Juhyung Kim maintained 23rd place. Sungjae Im ranked 45th, and Siwoo Kim was listed at 48th.
