'Approaching with Inclusive Finance' Special Committee to Meet on the 16th
The Special Committee on 'Approaching Inclusive Finance' under the Presidential Committee on National Integration announced on the 15th that it will hold a forum on the afternoon of the 16th at the Korea Press Center in Gwanghwamun, with the theme "Realizing Sustainable Inclusive Finance for Small Business Owners and Vulnerable Groups."
The Integration Committee was established to discuss the necessity of a policy financial institution for small business owners that systematically supports small business financing, and to explore fintech development plans related to inclusive finance, such as the development of alternative credit evaluation models.
The first session will feature Lee Dong-ju, Vice President of the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development, who will specifically explain the current status of financial supply to small business owners under the theme "The Necessity of a Policy Financial Institution for Small Business Owners," and present the rationale and alternatives for establishing such an institution.
In the second session, Jung Yoo-shin, Director of the Digital Economy and Finance Institute, will present on "Utilizing Fintech for Inclusive Finance," discussing the role and cases of fintech related to inclusive finance. Through this, they plan to propose alternatives where fintech can enhance financial accessibility for vulnerable groups and provide practical assistance.
The Integration Committee stated, "Based on the content presented at the forum, we plan to concretize policy recommendations for sustainable inclusive finance support through special committee discussions and inter-ministerial consultations."
