Asan City Heightens 'Yi Sun-sin Festival' Atmosphere with Nationwide Sports Competition

Expecting Over 3,200 Visitors for Four Events: Bowling, Futsal, Kendo, and Park Golf

Asan City in Chungnam is raising the festive atmosphere by consecutively hosting nationwide sports competitions ahead of the ‘Art Valley Asan 63rd Seongung Yi Sun-sin Festival.’

According to the city on the 15th, the Nationwide Bowling Tournament commemorating the birth of Seongung Yi Sun-sin will be held from the 19th to the 21st, and the Nationwide Futsal Tournament will take place on the 20th. The Nationwide Kendo Tournament will be held over two days from the 20th to the 21st, and the Nationwide Park Golf Tournament will also enter the competition phase from the 22nd to the 23rd.

About 3,200 players and their families are expected to participate in this event, which will be a festival for amateur sports enthusiasts nationwide.

Mayor Park Kyung-gwi said, “Since this tournament commemorates the birth of General Seongung Yi Sun-sin, it will be an opportunity for participating nationwide amateur sports clubs and their families to enjoy the Yi Sun-sin Festival.”
