Jungjingong and Seattle Economic Delegation Hold 'K-Startup Networking' At the K-Startup Networking event held on the 15th, Kang Seok-jin, Director of the Small and Medium Business Corporation, delivered the welcome address.

The first session featured the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) and a presentation on cooperation directions between SBC and the Seattle Economic Development Council for jointly discovering and nurturing promising small and medium ventures in the green business sector. Through this agreement, both organizations agreed to collaborate on ▲supporting the entry and scale-up of promising domestic startups in the U.S. market ▲establishing a cooperative system to attract Seattle-based companies to Korea. In particular, SBC plans to actively utilize the ‘K-Startup Center Seattle,’ which has been operating since 2019 as a gateway for supporting domestic and international companies.

The second session continued with introductions (IR pitching) of four promising domestic startups and a networking session to support overseas expansion. Additionally, SBC operated an exhibition space promoting the products and services of a total of 12 promising startups to enhance the networking effect.

Kang Seok-jin, Chairman of SBC, stated, “For both countries facing economic difficulties due to factors such as high interest rates, strengthening supply chains and business cooperation in advanced industries are more important than anything else to overcome the crisis together.” He added, “We will actively support the globalization of domestic startups, including their entry into the U.S. market, by closely cooperating with local institutions in the United States.”
