Seonyang Soju Co., Ltd., a leading liquor company in the Chungcheong region, held the opening of the forest concert "Funfun Classical," which is held annually for visitors to Gyejoksan Hwangtotgil, on the 13th, marking the start of the 2024 season.
At the opening performance, hundreds of families, friends, and couples visiting Gyejoksan Hwangtotgil enjoyed a pleasant time at the forest concert venue. The forest concert will be held every Saturday and Sunday at 2:30 PM at the forest concert venue until October 13.
The forest concert, fully funded and operated free of charge by Seonyang Soju since 2007, is a permanent performance consisting of 10 opera members: one soprano, four tenors, four baritones, and one pianist. By combining classical music, musicals, and comedy, it evokes laughter and emotion, allowing three generations of men and women to enjoy it comfortably.
In particular, "Funfun Classical," the forest concert enjoyed barefoot after experiencing nature on the "holy ground of barefoot walking," Gyejoksan Hwangtotgil, offers a unique pleasure to visitors to Gyejoksan.
Along with the opening of the forest concert season, related programs such as sending postcards of love and the Eco Healing Photo Exhibition are also provided.
Gyejoksan Hwangtotgil, created and managed by Seonyang Soju since 2006 with an annual investment of about 1 billion KRW, is the first and longest (14.5 km) dedicated barefoot walking trail in Korea. Attracting about one million visitors annually and established as an eco-healing destination, Gyejoksan Hwangtotgil is set to be revamped into a nationwide forest attraction through the Jangdong Cultural Park Development Project promoted by Daejeon City.
Jo Woong-rae, chairman of Seonyang Soju, said, "Through continuous maintenance of Hwangtotgil and the forest concert, Gyejoksan Hwangtotgil has established itself as the holy ground of barefoot walking in Korea," adding, "We hope everyone heals with unique fun and emotion that cannot be experienced anywhere else."
