Sharing Appearance Changes Over 6 Years and Asking Netizens
Majority Say "Peak in 2018 Before Project Started"
Billionaire Brian Johnson, who has been investing 2.7 billion KRW annually since 2021 to regain his youth, has been sharing his appearance changes on the internet for six years since 2018, asking netizens to vote for his 'prime days.'
According to Business Insider on the 11th (local time), Johnson posted photos from 2018, 2023, and 2024 on his X (formerly Twitter) account on the 10th.
Along with the photos, he wrote, "Even my Face ID is confused. I am changing," and asked netizens to vote in the comments on when they think his appearance was at its peak.
Among about 44,000 netizens, the majority (51.3%) chose his 2018 appearance, before starting the rejuvenation project, as the best. Next, 39.3% selected this year's look, and only 9.3% chose 2023, when his face appeared the leanest.
Netizens responded with various comments such as, "He tried to stop aging, but aging continues," "Did he have plastic surgery? His face looks completely different," "He lost some weight but is essentially not much different," and "It seems he has not yet reached his peak."
Some said, "All the photos look fine, but the problem is that the 2018 photo looks more natural."
Johnson sold the online payment platform company 'Braintree' to eBay in 2013 and has been using the $800 million (about 1.1 trillion KRW) proceeds to reduce his biological age to the level of an 18-year-old.
In May last year, he conducted a three-generation 'blood exchange' experiment with his 17-year-old son and 70-year-old father, drawing 1 liter of blood from each. His son's plasma was transfused into Johnson's body, and Johnson's plasma was transfused into his father's body.
Johnson stated, "My father's aging rate slowed down by an amount equivalent to 25 years after receiving my plasma, and he has maintained that level for six months now. It is unclear whether the slowed aging is due to the removal of his own plasma or the receipt of my plasma. It could be a combination of both."
However, Johnson, who is in his 40s, said his son's plasma did not show much effect and that he would never exchange plasma again.
Since 2021, he has been investing $2 million (about 2.77 billion KRW) annually to find ways to slow down or even reverse aging. He takes dozens of nutritional supplements daily, performs high-intensity workouts three times a week, and undergoes monthly colonoscopies and MRI scans, managing his health meticulously.
Johnson's personal physician revealed in January last year that his heart age is 37, skin age is 28, oral health is at the level of a 17-year-old, and his lung capacity and stamina are at the level of an 18-year-old.
