DIP Jungwi and Ministry of Science and ICT Announce Support Project for Utilizing Super Large AI

On the 14th, the Digital Platform Government Committee under the President and the Ministry of Science and ICT announced that from the 15th, they will open applications for the 'Large-scale AI Utilization Support Project.' This project connects companies that own large-scale AI platforms with institutions and companies that have demand for them. As the need for adopting large-scale AI has increased, the budget has been expanded more than fivefold compared to the previous year (2 billion KRW to 11 billion KRW).

The project is divided into ▲'Platform Utilization Support Project,' which supports consulting, proof of concept (PoC), and usage fees, and ▲'Service Development Support Project,' which supports the development of innovative services for administrative efficiency and solving social issues. This year, the support amount per task will be increased to create more exemplary cases of large-scale AI utilization in the public sector.

The platform utilization support area will be promoted with a total budget of 2.7 billion KRW. Unlike last year, when four suppliers?Naver, KT, MaumAI, and Vibe Company?were selected, this year there is no limit on the number of supplier companies selected, allowing small and medium-sized enterprises to participate.

The service development support area will be supported with a total budget of 7.7 billion KRW and will be divided into three categories: public general, public specialized, and issue resolution, to enable the creation of various forms of large-scale AI services. Demand institutions and companies propose ideas and implementation and operation plans, and development companies capable of realizing these are supported.

The related project briefing session is scheduled to be held on the 18th at 2 p.m. in the main building, 3rd floor auditorium, Dongguk University.
