The 22nd Ulleungdo Squid Festival, the representative summer festival of Ulleung-gun, Gyeongbuk, will be held for three days from August 5 to 7 at the Jeodong Port area.
The Ulleung-gun Festival Committee held a meeting on the 11th to decide the timing and location of the Ulleungdo Squid Festival and has begun full-scale preparations for the festival.
Marking its 22nd year, the Ulleungdo Squid Festival has been selected as an excellent festival designated by Gyeongbuk Province for 2024-2025, and plans to prepare a variety of rich content including attractions, food, and entertainment to ensure a successful event this year.
Kim Suhan, the Festival Chairman, said, “Reflecting on last year’s improvements, we will thoroughly prepare in cooperation with related organizations and groups to present a festival full of fun and enjoyment for residents and tourists.”
Nam Hangwon, the County Governor, stated, “We will do our best to prepare various programs, performances, experiential events, and numerous attractions so that many tourists visiting the Squid Festival can create lasting memories.”
