Classical melodies that comfort office workers on their lunch break and delight the ears of residents resonate from in front of the Seoul Arts Center to Seocho Station.

Seocho-gu, Seoul announced on the 13th that it will hold the ‘2024 Noon Classical Dessert’ by young artists four times a week at noon on weekdays until October this year in the Seocho Cultural Belt (Seocho Music Culture District and Music & Festival Street).

‘Noon Classical Dessert’ is a busking program by young music artists that has been held since 2022. It has gained much attention and love from residents and office workers who come out to the streets during lunch hours, establishing itself as a representative classical busking performance in the Music Culture District.

This year, 68 teams of young artists will perform busking shows. The number of performance days and locations have been expanded compared to last year. The performance venues include the Arirang TV building, Music & Festival Street (Seocho 3-dong Intersection to Seocho Station), Seocho 3-dong Intersection, Village Yard in front of the Seoul Arts Center, and Sinjung Children's Park, totaling five locations. Along with traditional classical music, various genres will be performed so that anyone can enjoy them in everyday life.

At the Arirang TV building, two pilot performances held last year attracted about 300 spectators with pop opera and fusion classical performances, receiving a great response. Performance schedules and information can be found on the Seocho-gu Office website.
