Chairman of Hospital Association, Lee Seong-gyu, Director of Dong Gunsan Hospital: "We Will Create a Respected Medical Environment"

The Korea Hospital Association announced on the 12th that Lee Seong-gyu, chairman of Dong Gunsan Hospital, was elected as the 42nd president. His term will begin on the 1st of next month and last for two years.

Chairman Lee currently serves as the vice president of the Jeonbuk Medical Association, president of the Federation of Medical Corporations, and president of the Korea Association of Small and Medium Hospitals. Within the Korea Hospital Association, he has held positions such as planning committee chairman, policy committee chairman, and vice president.

He stated, "I will start by prioritizing efforts to resolve the medical policy crisis and will proceed step by step with the mindset of gradually unraveling the complex issues," adding, "I am determined to establish the Hospital Association as a leading representative organization of the medical community."

He continued, "For the medical ecosystem to move in a desirable direction, everyone must fulfill their given roles and duties while creating a respectful medical environment," and said, "We will address the significantly escalated issue of medical personnel and propose a future-oriented and sustainable new paradigm regarding each role."
