"Cunningly Distorted and Pieced Together with Deceptive Packaging"
Kim Jun-hyeok, the elected member of the Democratic Party of Korea for Suwon-jeong, Gyeonggi Province, said there were "many distorted reports" regarding the verbal abuse controversy surrounding him.
In a phone interview on the 12th with the YouTube channel 'Kim Eo-jun's Humility is Difficult News Factory,' Kim said, "The things I said were not historically inaccurate statements, but they were cleverly distorted and pieced together to create a gender issue, portraying me as a misogynist and even a perverted sex addict, which is not true."
He added, "My wife was so wronged that she said, 'I want to write and post something,' and 'This really needs to be clarified,' but I told her not to go that far, that the truth will be revealed someday, and that we will confidently disclose everything."
Kim also expressed sincere gratitude to the voters who supported him, saying, "I sincerely thank them. I believe many democratic citizens who chose the Democratic Party and Kim Jun-hyeok did so not because they personally chose me, but because they have the will to judge the Yoon Seok-yeol government's incompetence and tyranny, and to say that this administration can no longer continue." He added, "I will do my best for that cause."
