Customized Professional Workforce Development, Strengthening Care Expertise
Yeongdeok-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, opened the "Yeongdeok-type Senior Integrated Care Specialist Training and Network Support Project" on the 11th at the Yeongdeok-gun Family Center as part of this year's region-specific customized job support project.
On the 12th, Yeongdeok-gun launched the 'Caregiver Training Course,' part of the Senior Integrated Care Specialist Development Support Project.
This project has been carried out since being selected in the Gyeongbuk Province public contest in 2015. Yeongdeok-gun, through an agreement with the Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation of Uiduk University, has trained 215 caregivers until last year and facilitated employment for 150 of them through job fairs and on-site job matching, leading to reemployment and social participation of middle-aged and older adults.
This year's project aims to select 20 Yeongdeok residents and have all pass the national caregiver qualification exam in July, followed by employment. Starting from the 15th, the program will proceed in the order of caregiver training courses, welfare dementia specialist training, care institution know-how sharing meetings, institution network roundtables, and visits to advanced social service institutions.
Lee Tae-ho, Director of the Job Economy Division, stated, "By expanding the senior integrated care professional workforce and supplying customized personnel to care institutions, we will establish a unique local elderly care model and care system, achieving sustainable development in the region."
