On the 9th, a man identified as A, a 31-year-old, posted on an online community, "I fulfilled my wish. I donated chicken to an orphanage." A explained, "I quit the company I was working for and now run a small chicken restaurant," adding, "I wanted to volunteer by donating chicken to an orphanage even before I started my business. But for the past year, I didn’t have the time or financial means, so I’m only able to do it now."
A said that 12 years ago, while working a delivery part-time job, he happened to visit an orphanage. At that time, 19-year-old A bought chicken with his own money to share with the children at the orphanage and promised himself, "I will definitely become a chicken restaurant owner someday and do this again." Now in his 30s, A has become a chicken restaurant owner and decided to keep the promise he made to himself 12 years ago. He contacted the orphanage and prepared 16 chickens along with large-sized seasoned sauces. A said, "They said 15 chickens would be enough since there aren’t many people, but I added one more as a service," and added, "It was my first time frying so many chickens at once." Along with the prepared chicken, A also brought twelve 1.5L bottles of cola and cute character bags prepared for the children at the orphanage and delivered them.
He said, "I wanted to stay and watch the kids eat, but they told me there was still time until school ended, so I just delivered it," expressing his pride, "I’m so happy to finally fulfill the dream I had when I was young. Today, I don’t envy Bill Gates at all." He continued, "As I delivered the chicken and returned to my store, I was so happy thinking that my wish from 12 years ago came true that I couldn’t stop smiling," and said, "From now on, I will live doing my best to help as much as I can. I hope everyone is happy." When asked about the location of his store, A said, "I didn’t do this expecting anything in return, so the location is a secret," and added, "I will succeed and help on a bigger scale."
Netizens who saw this left comments such as, "It must not have been an easy decision, but it’s amazing to see it put into action," "You will be blessed," "I support you," "I wish I could go and reward you with money, it’s a shame," and "It’s admirable to keep a promise you made to yourself."
