Seongbuk-gu Hosts Eco Mileage Event to Commemorate Earth Day

Seongbuk-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Seung-ro) will hold an Eco Mileage subscription event from April 15 to 30 to raise awareness about climate change and carbon neutrality and encourage participation in energy-saving practices in celebration of Earth Day.

Eco Mileage is a citizen-participation energy-saving program that offers benefits based on the reduction rate when electricity, water, city gas, and other energy usage are decreased. Accumulated mileage can be used for exchanging traditional market Onnuri gift certificates and cultural gift certificates, paying apartment management fees, converting to ETAX cash, and more.

This event targets new members who subscribe to Eco Mileage or members who consolidate their accounts or update their member information from the 15th to the 30th. The first 10 new members to participate will receive a gifticon worth 10,000 KRW, 50 members will be selected by lottery to receive a gifticon worth 5,000 KRW, and 50 members who consolidate accounts or update their information will be selected by lottery to receive a gifticon worth 5,000 KRW.

Mayor Lee Seung-ro said, “Eco Mileage is a citizen-participation practice movement that can lead to carbon neutrality through energy saving, so voluntary participation of residents is important,” adding, “We will strive to spread a culture of energy saving and carbon neutrality through active promotional activities.”
