Honam University Office of International Exchange Discusses Collaboration with Jiangsu Province Higher Education Institutions

Director Son Wani of the International Exchange Office at Honam University and Exchange Cooperation Manager Jin Chunhwa visited two higher education institutions in Jiangsu Province on April 9 to strengthen global educational capabilities and promote educational exchange.

On the afternoon of the 9th, Director Son Wani and his delegation visited Wuxi Vocational Institute of Arts and Crafts, where they discussed with Vice President Chen San, Director Xu Yunyuan of the International Exchange Office, Party Secretary Wu Tingting of the Ceramics College, Professor Si Wei of the Ceramics College, and others about holding a joint art exhibition, mutual implementation of short-term training programs, specialized college to undergraduate articulation programs, and undergraduate to graduate articulation programs.

Wuxi Vocational Institute of Arts and Crafts is a public university located in Yixing, Jiangsu Province, currently comprising six colleges and 37 departments with approximately 12,000 students enrolled. Honam University and Wuxi Vocational Institute of Arts and Crafts established a sisterhood relationship last December, and this visit marks the first since the agreement was signed.

On the 10th, Director Son Wani and his delegation visited Jiangsu Union Vocational and Technical College Zhangjiagang Branch / Zhangjiagang Secondary Vocational School, where they held detailed discussions with Principal Yao Lixia, Vice Principal Ye Shijuan, Head of the Department of Economics and Trade Xu Jing, Deputy Director of the Economics and Trade Department Fang Yu, Li Xiaohuan, and Korean language instructors on specialized college to undergraduate articulation programs and the activation of high school to undergraduate articulation programs. Following this, they conducted an admissions briefing for about 300 enrolled students.

Honam University and Zhangjiagang Secondary Vocational School have been cooperating since 2012 and have been committed to cultivating customized global talents for over ten years.
